These no thumb baby mittens on a string are sized for a 6 to 9-month-old baby.
Traditionally knit baby mittens are knit by hand in-the-round with imported, super fine weight yarn on US size 1 double-pointed needles (not cranked on a machine) to obtain a gauge of 9 stitches x 12 rows per inch â that's 108 stitches per square inch! Wool/nylon blend thumbless warm winter mittens are hand knit in smooth stockinette stitch with seamless construction. Left and right mitts are interchangeable. Ribbed 1.5" (3.81 cm) cuffs gently hug the wrist.
The mini mitts with no thumb are joined with a knitted coat cord to help prevent them from being lost. This French knitted tubular cord is sturdier and more attractive than the single crocheted chain that is typically seen. To use, simply slip each mitten through a jacket sleeve and secure the cord to the inside back neck of the jacket with the provided safety pin to hold it in place.
Sized for baby â approximately 6 to 9 months (15 to 22 lbs)
